Our story
A little bit different...
Euroka Homes was established in 1983 by The Reformed Church of Blacktown in order to care for widows and pensioners. The village has grown over time to 25 villas and a manager's residence. We have, however, stayed true to our roots and exist as a not-for-profit village caring for the people of Blacktown and its surrounds. Euroka is one of the most affordable retirement communities in the area with our commitment to continue to provide a caring service at a reasonable cost.
Euroka has a live-in manager who cares for all things great and small in the village. From accounts and business plans to gardening and maintenance, our manager does it all. This keeps our costs low and adds to our community feel. The manager is the person you will deal with from initial enquiry, when signing contracts, to day-to-day assistance and emergency calls. Our current manager Steve and his family are supported by a volunteer Board of Directors. We also engage the services of trusted trades people when required.
Euroka is special. It is a community where you can be as involved as you'd like. There are a number of weekly social events and get-togethers, as well as special events and trips. Yet there is no pressure to join in anything, as an independent living village the choice is yours.
We'd love to get to know you and help answer any questions. Perhaps you would like to see Euroka for yourself? Give our manager a call, or send an email and we can answer any questions and help you decide if Euroka is your next home.
